How to Choose and Register Your Own Domain Name

Posted in business  by Ricardo d Argence | January 7th, 2009

The way to register a domain name is by signing up with a service that provides domain names called a registrar. ICANN is the main organization that provides standards and procedures for domain name registrars to be certified.

Only a domain name registrar is permitted to access and modify the master database domains that are on InterNIC servers. The fee is determined by the registrar as far as getting a domain name and some registers have special domain name packages.

You use a domain name to create an identity on the Web and domain names can also be used for branding purposes. Obtain a domain name that will help you in your marketing niche and strategy. You can use your business name as your URL. If your business name is already taken by someone else then get a URL name close to what you are doing. Purchasing a business name domain name isn’t the only way to go, and when a keyword domain name could do just fine.

Use common sense when choosing a domain name because your domain name, or URL, can have an impact in both the online and offline marketing of your website. Long or difficult to spell domain names can make people ignore your web site and it has to be pretty good for them to stick with it. Short domain names register better with people’s memory and are easy to remember.

After you choose a domain name, you need to get it registered with a domain name registrar service. Charges are likely to consist of a one-time installation cost to cover the background technical job that has to be done. Then pay your service provider a monthly, semi-annual or annual fee for Web site hosting services.

Most domain registrar services have tools available for you to get your web site set up and running quickly.

I strongly recommend purchasing a .com domain name as opposed to a .net, .info, .biz or anything else. If your chosen domain name is not available in a .com, keep looking until you find one that isn’t taken. There is nothing wrong with the other extensions but when you have a .com extension, it sounds like you’ve been on the net a long time.

Then you might consider looking at the lenght of time your competitors have regstered their domain names, if you want to stay ahead of your competition. If your domain name expires, there’s a good chance that someone will register your domain name immediately after it expires. Renewal of domain names regularly is an assurance that you keep it for several years.

Keep in mind that your domain name is an extension of your business. Internet marketing will give you better results as long as you pay attention and practice what I’ve told you in this article.

Choosing the Best Web Hosting Service

Posted in business  by ray spotts | January 7th, 2009

One of the most crucial decisions that most online businesses have to make is choosing the best web hosting service. With a popular or well known and reliable Internet Service Provider (ISP) you won’t face many problems, however with a poor web hosting service provider it can be a nightmare.

Choosing the right kind of web hosting service can be a very daunting task at times as there are some very important features that you need to make sure of. Here you can find below what exactly to look for when choosing the best web hosting service.

Amount of web space: A web hosting service provider would usually assign you a certain amount of space on their server. You need to ensure that does it have the right amount of space for your website and your business requirements. You might want to expand your online business tomorrow and would require much more space. So it’s imperative for you that the web hosting company should be able to provide you with ample of space especially if your website is rich in graphics or has video clips.

FTP access: FTP access is very crucial since it provides the ability to upload new pages. Some web hosting service providers allow you to just design your web pages with their own personal web builder. This may be useful for beginners however you need to ensure if they provide you the facility to expand later when you enhance your online business capabilities.

Degree of reliability, security and speed of access: Speed, security and reliability are extremely important for the success of any online business. While choosing a reliable web hosting service you need to ensure that this is taken care of. A site that is not available, not updated on time or is down, will lose many online visitors. If an online visitor finds your site listed on a search engine, and he tries to access it but finds it down, he is sure to move on to the next link and you lose an important customer or visitor. Even slow working websites are very frustrating. So how do you know if a hosting company is reliable or not? By word of mouth or feedback from others! If that’s not possible then you can yourself try accessing your site during peak hours and non-peak hours too. Your site has to be secure of intruders at the same time, especially if it’s an ecommerce website.

Dependence and support: Does the web hosting service provide 24×7 supports? Do they respond rapidly to your issue? Can you depend on them? If you need 24-hour technical support that larger companies need then expect to pay substantially more. In fact, people are much more expensive than machines.

Pricing plans : Price is also one factor that you should look out for when choosing the best web hosting service. It’s not necessarily true that the most expensive hosts are the best. Simply compare prices and services before you finalize one.

Data transfer (Bandwidth): You also need to see if the hosting company provides you with sufficient bandwidth for efficient data transfer. After all it’s your website and you need to ensure that you are getting the best services for the money you invest.

Accepting Credit Card Payments Online

Posted in business  by Justin Harrison | January 6th, 2009

For owners of online businesses today giving the customers options can be the key to winning a sale. Different payment methods give consumers options, although credit card payments are by far the most popular, due to their convenience. Sites which accept payment from credit cards show greater sales from impulsive purchases, as well as other add-ons.

Credit cards payments can be accepted by an ecommerce site in two different ways. The prefered way is to use a third-party processor and the later is to establish a merchant account with a bank.

While you can obtain a merchant account and the ability to process payments through most banks, it still remains somewhat difficult to obtain them for internet sites in comparison to brick and morter retail businesses.

PayPal and other third party services do away with the need for an account with the merchant. They also offer real time payment and fund transfer into the account of a business owner for a small fee, which is usually a small flat rate plus a percentage of each transaction’s sale.

Due to this, Paypal provides an excellent service that allows you to take credit cards, and it also provides a shopping cart that sites owners can install on their site, it also provides currency conversion in real time, and it is capable of taking payments in the forms of electronic debits or echecks.

If you want to begin accepting credit card payments the fastest route to do so is with a third party service like PayPal, which is more affordable and a great alternative to traditional banking options.

Securing Tomorrow with Web Ecommerce and Niche Blueprint!

Posted in business  by James Wood | January 6th, 2009

Are you fed up with working for someone else? Do you hate having to get up in the morning and make your daily commute to work? Are you worried for the security of your job as the global economy continues to show signs of crisis?

Building an online business part-time could just be the way you could put an end to all these questions. Why the Internet? The reason I say online is that even though the global economy is in a real crisis right now the online industry is still happily growing!

Investment money in your business is another reason why the Internet is a good way for people to start up a little part-time business as you really can start out on the Internet for very little.

The truth is with the Internet there are so many different ways to make money, nevertheless one way that is doing especially well right now in these difficult times is web e-commerce.

As the financial crisis affects shoppers they start to search out better cheaper places to purchase their day-to-day goods, it is only natural that niche web e-commerce websites will benefit from this as in general selling products over the Internet is far cheaper than doing it online and so prices can be maintained lower.

However getting involved in web e-commerce or any other Internet business will take a lot of time and effort on your part to learn everything necessary to be successful. This is where a course like niche blueprint can really help you out.

Niche blueprint is a course that covers everything you need to know from start to finish to set up and maintain successful niche web e-commerce websites, even going as far as to provide you with proven web e-commerce website templates and software to run your stores.

Niche blueprint hasn’t actually launched just yet (well not at the time of writing anyway) but it will be available from the 12th of January 2009. This course has an awful lot of expectation since it is the follow-up to the extremely successful commission blueprint course launched last year and I would have to highly recommend it.

Information About Online Free Slots

Posted in entertainment  by J.D Theis | January 6th, 2009

From its meager beginnings a few years ago, the internet has introduced a way for people to enjoy almost all the conveniences of life without living your home. Now you can even shop for your needs without going out of your room or play at the casino on your jammies. For casino enthusiasts the slots have always been a favorite bet because of the higher payout rate compared to other casino games. With the advent of online casino gaming, online free slots have introduced a new way for casino lovers to play this indispensable game.

If you are new to the internet world, especially to online free slots, there are several things you will need to consider. Here are some of the most common questions you might ask:

1. What kind of software is used by betting room websites?

There are actually different kinds of software used by different betting rooms, but those known to be of a high standard are most common. If you browse through different casino sites, you will see the same ?marks? being used in different sites. Software which have the same marks come from the same developer and are more reliable than the others.

2. What kind of customer support service should I expect?

A good gamin room always has a 24/7 support team in the form of either the phone, email or at best, live chat. Most sites also have a section for Frequently Asked Questions on their pages. If you are new to online free slots, it is important that you look for a website which maintains a good relationship with their clients through an excellent customer support team, one you can contact any time of the day. In most cases you will need to talk to their support team to communicate about payment or if you experience a bug in their system.

3. What are the rules and requirements that apply in a betting room?

Every betting room has their own terms of service as required by law, it is best that you examine these first before deciding to play. Through this document, you will know how dispute resolution is being handled by the company and you will also have an idea on what they intend to do with your personal information.

4. What about precaution?

We all know that the internet is an unsecure place and it is only fair for a website to disclose what kind of security measures they have in place to assure the confidentiality of your information. Most times, you will see information about this on their terms of service. One way you can choose a reliable website is through gaming forums. Ask for information on the community so you will have an idea on the differences of services of one online free slots compared to the other.

Seo Elite is a fantastic tool that is a must have if you are going to rank organically in Google or other search engines. This article is designed to point out to you why I recommend this product.

Seo Elite has several features that will help you get ranked higher in the search engines. The best feature of SEO Elite is that you can basically see exactly what your competition is doing offsite and onsite. This allows you to mimick or improve upon what they are doing. The key here is to remember that for search engine rankings your competition is not the search engine, it is the people ranking for your phrase.

Within just a few months of using SEO Elite you can see a dramatic increase in the type of traffic. SEO Elite will help you identify the density of Key words in anchor text of inbound links or “votes” for your competitors website. You can use this an match it and you should rank about the same.

The software includes assistance for you in building links, including requesting link exchanges, submitting articles and many analysis tools. You can also use the rankings check to monitor the results of your optimization efforts.

The number on feature is that you can see what sites are linking to your competition and with what anchor text. The best method is to go out and contact these sites to see if they will also link to you. You can also see the Google PR of each one of these sites so you know how much work you need to do to catch your competition.

3 Way Links - Will They Increase Your Pagerank?

Posted in business  by Catherine Smith | January 5th, 2009

Link activity is the premium factor that the search engines consider when deciding on your site’s pagerank. Don’t worry if you don’t know what this means, just read below.

Links that point towards yourwebsite are called inbound links.

Links that point out to other sites from yours, are known as outbound links.

Internal links are directing to pages within your site, from any other page on your website.

Reciprocal linking is a simple link swap. This is when you like someone’s site and they like yours, so you decide to exchange links. They are not as valuable as one way inbound links.

Google will consider how many links are pointing towards your site, compared with how many outbound links you have. It can have a negative effect if you have a lot more outbound links, than inbound ones. Your page rank can be effected, which can result in less traffic and sales.

Although some people spend ages writing articles and submitting them to get traffic and links, there is a far easier way and it is called 3 Way Linking. It is incredibly effective and worked for me, by getting my unknown site to the top of Google. This resulted in my being able to get out of debt and focus on things I really enjoy. 3 Way Linking is a very special technique and works in all sorts of niches. Many people have already experienced amazing results.

So how does Three Way Linking work?

Google loves one way links and if you have many of them, your site will be rewarded with a high page rank. Reciprocal links are all very well, but we should try and give Google what they are looking for and that is a lot of one way links into your site. Three way linking uses three different sites from one niche. Site A links to Site B, Site B links to site C and site C links back to site A.

Three way links are extremely high quality, as each site receives a unique link.

You should really give three way links a try. It will save you so much time tracking down reciprocal links and everyone benefits far more from this arrangement. It can still be a pain trying to track down these links manually, so I prefer to let a software do it all for me. I just set it and forget it and watch my site work its way to the top. Nice!

Unique Strategy To Implement B2B Relationship Marketing

Posted in business  by Yasmine Tan | January 5th, 2009

The performance of a relationship between two firms can be view in the following way. The Business-to-Business Relationship Performance scale is presented as a high order concept. Managers operating in a B2B e-marketplace, findings reveal that greater relationship performance results in better 1) relationship policies and practices, 2) relationship commitment, 3) trust in the relationship, 4) mutual cooperation, as well as 5) satisfaction with the relationship. The multi-dimensional scale shows strong evidence of reliability as well as convergent, discriminate and nomological validity.

It is also reveal that B2B relationship performance is positively and significantly associated with loyalty. While building on this scale. Today firms have a wide range of tools and metrics at their disposal to assess periodic performance, and they represent a critical topic in business literature and across different fields of management research. However, although both worlds are interested in the topic of metrics, the way academics and managers discuss it is quite different. Frequently practitioners have different expectations and work with different time scales than those of academics.

Moreover, it is not normally concerned with the analysis and development of metrics that might be applied at the managerial level and included in management periodic reports. The marketing trend towards a better understanding of relationship development with business partners continues to grow, as managers and researchers observe that better relationships result in a significant impact on business performance.

The development of customer relationship is an ongoing process during which relational policies and practices, trust, relationship commitment, mutual cooperation, and satisfaction with the relationship represent important dimensions to be considered. The need for enhanced corporate reputation and trust-based relationship becomes more crucial in an environment of less traditional relationship coalition, relational history, and interpersonal communication.

The new medium is fostering transitional relationship, and easy access to information and forum to critique, criticize or condemn an institution. The practice of hiding nothing is preferred because there is no where to hide. Ethics and truth, unqualified reputation and transparent honesty, therefore, become very important in the new marketplace made up of institutions and empowered consumers and stakeholders.

Proactively, rather than reactivity, becomes a very important business mantra in the postmodern digital world economy. It is easier to create and maintain reputation and trust than try to regain them. Computer technology has altered the power structure and the relationship between corporations and their publics, stakeholders and the media. Internet may be creating a shift from the traditional vertical and horizontal corporate communication paradigms.
